Telemetry/Scada
Project Discription
Early 2019, EAP Consult together with two (2) Austrian engineering company viz. SFCU and SETEC implemented a telemetry system for Ghana water company Limited (GWCL).
The objective of this project was to enable recording and transmitting readings of ultra-sonic flow meters on boundary lines within the GAMA regions. In total, Twenty-one (21) ultra-sonic meters and one (1) level sensor were installed with metering data being sent via a web-based cloud to a control room. In addition, Twenty-Two (22) Solar panel plus electrical panel units were installed to provide constant supply of power between the ultra-sonic meters and their respective base stations. This in turn will give GWCL management and the technical staff access to real-time data with reporting ability to enable them make a more informed decision on water supply thus, cutting-off production losses.
