Update of GWCL Water Supply Master Plan for Greater Accra Metropolitan Assemblies (GAMA) including the preparation of Hydraulic Model and Integrated Water Distribution Network.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

1. The preparation of a master plan for the development of the water supply system for the Greater Accra Metropolitan Area (GAMA) to the year 2040, with plans for immediate improvements for period 2015 – 18 and the medium term, 2018 – 28.

2. The preparation of a network model to identify the requirements to improve supplies to areas which currently have no supply or a very poor level of service. The model will also be used to identify extensions and reinforcements required to distribute additional water from newly constructed or planned water treatment plants.

3. The preparation of detailed designs for the immediate improvements and preliminary designs for the longer term investments.
